What we have learned delivering equipment into San Diego venues. Written for the person who has to make it work on the day.
Most event technology problems start before anything is switched on: freight sent to a building that will not accept it, a booth with no power ordered, or a demo that depends on the hall wifi holding up. These are problems with the venue’s rules, not the equipment, and those rules are often in documents people only read after something has gone wrong once.
These pages are what we have picked up delivering into San Diego venues since 1989. Where a guide states a venue rule, it says when we checked it and points at the venue’s own page, because rules change and a show’s exhibitor manual can be stricter than the building.
