Microsoft Surface Pro rentals in San Diego
Rent a Microsoft Surface Pro by the day, the week or the month. A Surface Pro is a tablet that runs full Windows, so it runs your desktop software and works with a keyboard and a pen. We ship anywhere in the United States.

Rent a Surface Pro for a day, a week or a month
You can rent one Surface Pro for a visiting executive or fifty for a training room. Tell us the dates, how many you need and what has to be installed. We send a quote, usually the same business day.
Which Surface Pro models we rent
Most of our Surface Pros are the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Pro 7. Both run Windows 11. We also have the Surface Pro 5 for jobs where an older version of Windows is acceptable. We do not stock the newest Surface models. If your job needs one, ask us and we will tell you whether we can get it.
- Surface Pro 7, Core i5
- Surface Pro 6, Core i5, 128GB
- Surface Pro 5, Core i5
What comes with a Surface Pro rental
Each Surface Pro comes with its keyboard cover, pen and charger unless you tell us you do not need them. Tell us what the job involves and we will add the rest.
- The keyboard cover, so it works as a laptop
- The pen, for notes, mark-up and signatures
- A charger for each unit, with spares for a full room
- Docks, mice and display adapters on request
When to rent a Surface instead of an iPad or a laptop
Rent a Surface Pro when you need Windows desktop software on a touchscreen. Common jobs are field inspections, signature capture into a Windows program, and presenters who want to walk the room with a full computer in hand. If the job is tapping through an app, an iPad costs less and has more stands and kiosk hardware made for it. If nobody needs a touchscreen, a laptop costs less and is easier to type on all day.
Set up before it ships
We install your software and test each Surface Pro here. We can join them to your domain or enroll them in Microsoft Intune before they leave, so they show up in your management console like your own machines.
Matched sets in quantity
We keep well over a hundred Surface Pros. When you rent a set, every unit is the same model with the same setup, so each seat behaves the same way and a replacement is identical to the unit it replaces.
Pick up in San Diego or have it shipped
Our warehouse is in Kearny Mesa. You can collect your rental there by appointment, we can deliver in San Diego County, or we can ship by UPS to any address in the country with a return label in the box.

Common questions
What is the minimum rental period?
One day. We also rent by the week, by the month, and ongoing for as long as you need it.
Longer periods cost less per day. If you're not sure how long the job will run, tell us. It's usually cheaper to book the longer period than to extend a short one.
What do you need before equipment goes out?
Usually one or more of: a credit card security deposit, a purchase order, or a certificate of insurance. Which ones depends on the size of the job and whether we've worked with you before.
Where a certificate of insurance covers the equipment, we may still ask for a card on file to cover the deductible.
None of this is a credit check or an application. A salesperson will tell you exactly what's needed for your job when they quote it.
Can you load our software before it arrives?
Yes, and it's the part most people don't think to ask for. We load your software, settings and naming convention, and test it here before anything ships.
Forty machines that all boot to the same place beat forty machines someone has to configure in a ballroom the night before.
Do you deliver, or do you ship?
Both, and which one depends on the job rather than on the distance alone.
Anything outside San Diego usually makes more sense shipped. Some San Diego jobs do too: a few laptops going to an office is often better as a package than as a van visit. Larger jobs, event setups and anything that has to be built on site are usually delivered in person.
We'll tell you which makes sense for your job when we quote it, and what it costs either way.
How late can I order and still have it go out today?
Later than you can most places, because we’re on Pacific time. When it’s 4pm on the east coast and suppliers there have shut, it’s 1pm here and there’s still most of a working day to configure, pack and get equipment on a truck.
It depends on the job. Forty machines imaged to your build take longer than four off the shelf. Call and ask. If today isn’t possible, we’ll tell you.
What happens if equipment fails during my event?
Call us. A technician will work through it with you first: a good number of machines that seem dead are not, and five minutes on the phone can save waiting for a van.
If it does need replacing, we get a replacement to you by whatever is genuinely fastest for your situation: driving it out, shipping it, or shipping it overnight. What that looks like depends on where you are and how urgent it is.
Being in San Diego means that for local jobs, driving is usually an option. For a job in another state it won't be, and we'll be straight with you about the timing.
What happens if I need the equipment for longer?
Tell us before the return date and we'll extend it. Normally the rental moves to the next period: a week becomes two, a month becomes two months. Sometimes we can pro-rate instead, depending on the job.
The important part is the phone call. Ask before the due date and we will work it out with you.
Don’t see what you need? Just call.
If we don’t stock it, we can usually source it. One call covers the whole kit. A real person answers during business hours. Press 1 and someone here will pick up.
