MacBook rentals in San Diego
Rent a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air by the day, the week or the month. We set each one up with your software before it leaves, and we ship anywhere in the United States.

Narrow it down
Rent a MacBook for a day, a week or a month
You can rent one MacBook for a visiting colleague or forty for a training room. Tell us the dates, how many you need and what has to be installed. We send a quote, usually the same business day. If the job runs long, you can extend.
MacBook Pro or MacBook Air
Most people should take a MacBook Pro with an Apple M-series chip. It is fast, it is quiet, and the battery lasts a full working day. A MacBook Air is lighter and costs less, and it is a good choice for email, documents, web work and presentations. For video editing, large design files or software builds, take a 16 inch MacBook Pro.
- MacBook Air 13 inch, M4
- MacBook Pro 14 inch: M1 Pro, M4 Pro and M5
- MacBook Pro 16 inch: M1 Pro, M1 Max, M3 Pro and M4 Pro
- MacBook Pro 13 inch, M1
MacBook Pro with Touch Bar
We still rent Intel MacBook Pro models with the Touch Bar, from 2016 through 2020, in 13, 15 and 16 inch sizes. People ask for them when their software has not moved to Apple silicon, or when a machine has to match one already in the office.
Set up before it ships
We install your applications and settings and test each MacBook here. We are a Mosyle managed service provider, so we can manage the machines for the length of the rental. If you would rather use your own device management, we enroll them in it before they leave.
What comes with a MacBook rental
Every MacBook comes with its charger. A room of MacBooks connecting to a projector also needs adapters, so tell us what they will plug into and we will pack what is needed.
- A charger with every machine
- USB-C hubs, HDMI and display adapters
- Mice and keyboards for people working at a desk all week
Matched sets for training rooms and events
When you rent a set, every MacBook is the same model with the same setup. Each seat behaves the same way, and if one machine has a problem we can replace it with an identical one.
Pick up in San Diego or have it shipped
Our warehouse is in Kearny Mesa. You can collect your rental there by appointment, we can deliver in San Diego County, or we can ship by UPS to any address in the country with a return label in the box.

Common questions
What is the minimum rental period?
One day. We also rent by the week, by the month, and ongoing for as long as you need it.
Longer periods cost less per day. If you're not sure how long the job will run, tell us. It's usually cheaper to book the longer period than to extend a short one.
What do you need before equipment goes out?
Usually one or more of: a credit card security deposit, a purchase order, or a certificate of insurance. Which ones depends on the size of the job and whether we've worked with you before.
Where a certificate of insurance covers the equipment, we may still ask for a card on file to cover the deductible.
None of this is a credit check or an application. A salesperson will tell you exactly what's needed for your job when they quote it.
Can you load our software before it arrives?
Yes, and it's the part most people don't think to ask for. We load your software, settings and naming convention, and test it here before anything ships.
Forty machines that all boot to the same place beat forty machines someone has to configure in a ballroom the night before.
Do you deliver, or do you ship?
Both, and which one depends on the job rather than on the distance alone.
Anything outside San Diego usually makes more sense shipped. Some San Diego jobs do too: a few laptops going to an office is often better as a package than as a van visit. Larger jobs, event setups and anything that has to be built on site are usually delivered in person.
We'll tell you which makes sense for your job when we quote it, and what it costs either way.
How late can I order and still have it go out today?
Later than you can most places, because we’re on Pacific time. When it’s 4pm on the east coast and suppliers there have shut, it’s 1pm here and there’s still most of a working day to configure, pack and get equipment on a truck.
It depends on the job. Forty machines imaged to your build take longer than four off the shelf. Call and ask. If today isn’t possible, we’ll tell you.
What happens if equipment fails during my event?
Call us. A technician will work through it with you first: a good number of machines that seem dead are not, and five minutes on the phone can save waiting for a van.
If it does need replacing, we get a replacement to you by whatever is genuinely fastest for your situation: driving it out, shipping it, or shipping it overnight. What that looks like depends on where you are and how urgent it is.
Being in San Diego means that for local jobs, driving is usually an option. For a job in another state it won't be, and we'll be straight with you about the timing.
What happens if I need the equipment for longer?
Tell us before the return date and we'll extend it. Normally the rental moves to the next period: a week becomes two, a month becomes two months. Sometimes we can pro-rate instead, depending on the job.
The important part is the phone call. Ask before the due date and we will work it out with you.
