Work out the mics first

Audiences tolerate a mediocre picture and leave over bad sound. Handhelds for Q&A, lavaliers for presenters who move, a podium mic where there's a lectern. Wireless needs receivers and channel planning in a busy venue — a hall with six sessions running has six sets of frequencies to keep apart.

Speakers sized to the room

Powered speakers on stands cover most meeting rooms and breakouts. Bigger rooms need more than more volume — they need coverage, which is about placement as much as wattage. Tell us the room and the headcount and we will work out the wattage.

Mixers, and when you need one

Two microphones and a laptop can go straight into a powered speaker. Once you have several sources — panel mics, a laptop, a video feed, a recording — a mixer stops it becoming guesswork. We carry small format mixers and DI boxes for exactly that.
